Elisa Longo Borghini wins the first edition of the UAE Tour Women, Charlotte Kool wins the final stage in Abu Dhabi
Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek-Segafredo) has won the first edition of the UAE Tour Women, wearing the Red Jersey and taking her victory ahead of Gaia Realini (Trek-Segafredo) and Silvia Persico (UAE Team ADQ).
Charlotte Kool (Team DSM) won the Presight AI Stage (Stage 4), which took the riders 119km from Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy to Abu Dhabi Breakwater, ahead of Chiara Consonni (UAE Team ADQ) and Lorena Wiebes (Team SD Worx).

Speaking seconds after the stage finish, the winner of the 2023 UAE Tour Women, Elisa Longo Borghini, said: "I am very happy with this victory at the UAE Tour Women! I am so proud of my team, we showed great togetherness here and are now confident for the rest of the season. This is a success for the whole team and now it is time for some celebrations with all the staff that helped me to achieve it!"
The stage winner Charlotte Kool said: "The sprint was really hectic. I knew I had to be patient and wait for a gap to open up before I could launch my sprint. My team rode brilliantly every day here, I am very happy with our performances over the UAE Tour Women, we showed we are capable of achieving many nice things, and to finish it off like today is just a dream!"
