Nahyan Bin Zayed: Our flag is a symbol of sovereignty and belonging

His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, spoke on the occasion of Flag Day, which falls on 3 November.

His Highness said: “We take advantage of this national occasion to extend our highest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and their brothers, Their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council of the Federation, Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, and the people of the Emirates.”

He further extolled the excellence of the UAE’s development as a leading global model as well as an example of peace and coexistence.

“We renew our pledge and loyalty to the nation and its wise leadership, raising the flag flying high, rallying around it to safeguard it, continuing our work and diligence to complete the process of renaissance and development, carrying our ambitions and hopes to the furthest extent.”

His Highness concluded: “May God protect the UAE’s leadership and people, and may He grant us the blessing of security, safety, stability and prosperity.”
