The start of the new season of the “Emirates Warriors” competitions
The first events of the new season of the “Emirates Warriors” martial arts championship will begin on January 20, organized by Palms Sports Company, in the 46th edition of the international series, and the 47th edition of the Arab series the next day, where competitions will be held at the Mubadala Arena in Zayed City. Sports.
The international version will witness 13 fights, during which 26 fighters from all over the world will compete. The Brazilian “lightweight” Alex Dasilva is one of the most prominent participants, as well as the Cameroonian Joris Dia, the “African Series” champion.
While the Arabic version will be held on January 21, it will witness 11 matches between 22 fighters, led by the “middleweight” fight, between the current champion, Wissam Hammami from Tunisia, and Imran Shaaban from Lebanon, while Abdullah Al-Bouchahri and Jalal Al-Daja participate in the fights. , Muhammad Al-Asili, Suhail Thaeri, and Iman Al-Mudhaf.
Last year, 2023, the “Emirates Warriors” Championship competitions witnessed the holding of 11 editions of the tournament, starting from February until last October, and also witnessed the crowning of 8 champions in each of the three editions, international, African and Arab.
The most prominent crowning glory was Jordanian Ali Al-Qaisi with the titles of the Arab series in the 40th edition and the international in the 42nd edition, in the “featherweight” series, and Muhammad Yahya in the “lightweight” in the Arab series, and Badr Al-Din Diani, twice in the Arab series “middleweight”.
The rest of the champions, Joris Dia, were also crowned the “featherweight” champion in the African series, and Bruno Machado, the “lightweight” champion in the international series, before he announced his retirement, and Amro Nur Mammadov was crowned the “lightweight” title in the international series.
Fouad Darwish, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the “Emirates Warriors” Championship and CEO of Palms Sports Company, expressed his happiness with the successes achieved during the year 2023, indicating that the organizing committee of the event is determined to continue achieving successes during the current year, in light of the multiplicity of participants from all over the world. It is the starting point for many heroes.
He expressed his aspiration during the new season to continue the excellence in organization in a way that enhances the standing of the tournament and confirms Abu Dhabi’s leadership in leading this sport towards advancement in the region and the world.
